Emily Fontana is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Through painting, printmaking, and sculpture, Emily creates an immersive experience of all things cute and commodified. Whether it is through the sweetness of confectionery, collaged princess cat prints, or a glittery blood splattered Sailor Moon, extremity is always present. This spring, Emily looks forward to partnering with the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women in Cleveland, OH, for whom she is creating a series of paintings and screen prints as part of her project through the Creativity Works Internship program.
