Nola williams-riseng
Nola Williams-Riseng is an emerging artist native to Northeast Ohio. Distressed by the confinement of place and time, Williams-Riseng creates layered drawings which realize the flattening of interpretation and memory. Her introspective work blends tenderness and anxiety, using a delicate hand to give bleak, familiar imagery a physical softness. She currently practices Drawing and Printmaking at the Cleveland Institute of Art, where she expects to receive a double-major Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2025. While earning her Bachelor’s degree Williams-Riseng has been an active member of her institution’s community, and has worked with peers to organize and curate two group shows within the Institute. Her work has been shown regionally.
